DuduPoker is an online poker game in the vein of Party Poker, Full Tilt, etc..
For Dudupoker, my task was to create newly rendered environments, with a new table, chairs, and have an actual background (to replace the previous background which was just a flat texture).
The characters, however, would remain the same as the previous version of the game.
The complex part was trying to follow the exact size of the previous version of the table so the characters would fit perfectly around it. It didn't help that the table had to be at a certain angle. I started off with a screenshot of the old table, drew a line around it using Illustrator, brought it into 3DS Max, and used all kinds of tricks to match the newly-modeled table with the line, resizing and angling it the right way so it would fit. Similar tricks had to be done with the chairs.
